host family *-*

Only 46 day before i fly to New Zealand and today i got my host family!!
I opened our postbox and see a letter from my organisation. Two of my best friends stood next to me and they sayed: "Oh my good, it is your host family!" But i don't wanted to make myself wrong hopes and then i opened the letter and read: 'Congratulations, this is your host family.'
I was and i'm still so so happy :))
I don't want to tell to much about them, because i don't know if they allow me to write something about them, but i can say, that i have host parents, one host sister (in the same age like me :))) and one older brother. They also have pets (dog and cats)!!
It sound so great, i always want to have siblings and now i will have two for one year!! I don't know how i can write good about my feelings, so...  I'm happy and happy and happy!!

But i'm a bit nervous, because i've got only a telephone number, so i will call them and i hope i will understand everthing and not be like: Oh, can you repeat please :D

On saturday i want to call them. It's a bit difficult, because there are 10 hours time difference, but i hope it will work haha ;)
In the next post i will tell you how my call was.

This picture doesn't really fits on the post, but on the whole exchange year. And i'm so happy that i've chosen New Zealand ^-^

New Zealand - one of the safest countries of the world

13.New Zealand

Each year since 2007, the Institute for Economics and Peace has ranked New Zealand as one of the most peaceful countries in the world. With a very small percentage of its population in prison, limited military capability, strong relations with Australia and down-to-earth hospitality, New Zealand is a wonderful country to live in. This is a country of natural beauty, diverse scenery, and quirky natives.
Visitors from all over the world come to New Zealand to experience rugged landscape, breathtaking alpine glaciers, awesome beaches, and fantastic geothermal and volcanic activity.
The country is also renowned for its fine wines, and there are a great number of grape varieties planted throughout New Zealand. So if you are a great wine lover, you should definitely visit New Zealand at least once in life!

only 49 days !!

Hi everybody,

i really don't know, what i should say!?
Only 49 days left in Germany :o
i don't know how i should feel..

Never the less i think i'm more happy than everybody else in my family. My parents always say to me: Oh it will be great, but we will miss you sooo much.
My other friends, who do also an exchange year, become nervous and a bit afraid, but i must say that most of them already have a host family, so for them it becomes more real every day.
I wish that i get my host family in the next 2 weeks, because i think it is better when you write and Skype with them sometimes before you go there, do you understand? I'm so psyched :o
It can be everything. A couple without child(ren), a couple with child(ren), only a woman, younger, older...  really everything!! But i don't have any imaginings or special wishes.
Because:

The family, couple or woman gives you a home for one year. They trust you and want to show you there way of living. You will get to know a completly different culture and nature and that's amazing. I already want to say to my hostfamily: Thank you for this great experiences i will get and thank you for a home at the other side of the world

Preparatory meeting

Hi everybody,
on the last sunday - 11.05.2014 - i was in Hamburg at the preparatory meeting from Treff International Education Company. It began at 09.30 Uhr so we must start at 07.30 Uhr (very early) to arrive punctual. I have got a full folder with informations, flyer and a calling card. After that i met Sarah. I will fly with her to Australia and will spend 3 days in Sydney with her and the others :) I'm so excited and want to start right now!!
Next we got other informations about the flight, the weight limit for the suitcase ( only 23 kg :o ) and potential dangers (, but this theme was more for the USA-exchange-students). They told us, how the most people in New Zealand live and what we can expect or not expect.
All in all it was a great day with more informations about my big adventure and now i'm really sure that this year will become awesome!:D
a picture will follow soon ;)
i don't know if it is okay for the others in the picture to be on my blog, that's why I put the animals on them hahaha
